Miller to Olympics: What’s Really Good?

CDGAR12ozCn.gifmindingmayormiller.gifWhen a brash, youthful Dave Miller first arrived in Canada, the fun loving Brit made a bee-line for Expo 67 in Montreal. The future mayor had such a grand time, he wants to relive the event with Expo 2015 in Toronto. So, in order to make it happen, Miller has now thrown his considerable support a Toronto Expo 2015 as opposed to the Olympics. “One thing about the world’s fair that is better than the Olympics is it would leave a real legacy,” said DM.
Around the very same day Mr Miller came over from England in 1967, he also had his first sip of the tasty Canada Dry Ginger Ale. “My first memory of anything Canadian was a very soothing can of Canada Dry Ginger Ale given to me by a steward on the ship,” said a wistful mayor.
And lucky he was to receive that soothing can – he still drinks Canada Dry to this day!

I sure the Olympics would probably be able to achieve a comparable legacy to some cheesy expo..
Not to say I’m either for or against the olympics though.
Oh one more thing… Canada Dry is gooooooood. I drink the diet in the white can though.. boy it has got some serious bite. you should try it josh.. your waistline is getting a bit out of hand.

i know! my prof referred to me as the “chubby one” the other day – what’s with that?
i’m not sure how much of my caloric intake comes from ginger ale though. probably more to do with my high salt, no veggies, double stuffed diet..

When was the last time anyone had an expo that mattered?! Who had the last expo? Anyone?
That’s right, no one knows and frankly no one cares that much. Sure everyone said that Expo86 was a big deal for a city like Vancouver, but do we really need an Expo in 2015 to sell/whore ourselves to the world?
Just remember that Expo86 brought the Skytrain to Vancouver; probably the second biggest money sucking public project in Canada (I think the O in Montreal is the biggest, don’t you?)
