I Guess You CAN Stop the Music

2005_4_29stop.jpgWe posted last week about the 20hz SNAFU.
Well the plot thickens. It seems that Stille Post, the Palestine for Toronto indie kids looking for a promised land, seems to have closed its doors. It could simply be that the site’s owners didn’t get enough bandwidth and the flood of indie refugees simply overloaded the site (something that has happened before on 20hz). Or it could be something worse. Stay tuned.

    He’s doing a fundraiser talk on advertising…. There’s also an essay by Byrne in the contact guide which I picked up today.
    He also did a lecture on why he loves Powerpoint a while back, don’t know if it’s available though.

    That last post probably had something to do with the David Byrne item. Hey, Ron!
    The Stillepost issue apparently had something to do with DNS propagation. The board was reportedly shifted to a new server, and it took time for the change to take effect. But it’s been off and on since, which has a lot of people giving the new owners of 20Hz far too much credit by accusing them of hacking the board.
