The Toronto sporting community will be given an opportunity to put the Major League Baseball drug scandal on the back burner tonight, as AHL hockey comes to town. Just under 18,000 screaming hockey fans will be treated to a prolific display of second-rate talent, when the Binghamton Senators roll into the ACC to take on the St John's Baby Leafs. Spezza versus Stajan apparently has the same draw these days as Sundin against Alfredsson had once provided.

The puck drops on the big game at 7 pm this evening. The tailgate, however, begins at 4:30 pm, as I look to extend my five game winning streak against Drew in the classic Sega Genesis game, NHL'94.

In other Maple Leaf news, Pat Quinn has been asked to take a pay cut when the NHL finally returns, trimming down his two million dollar salary. The news comes as a shock to many, not because the pay cut, or that the money-bags Leafs are cutting costs. It's that Pat Quinn actually gets paid two million dollars. Last I checked, NHL '94 costs under two dollars.
