Blogging to Solvency, or, The Globe Loves Accordion Guy

accordion_permalink.jpgThe Accordion Guy, Toronto's loveable and long blogging Joey de Villa, has been written about twice in a month in the Globe. The first time round, blogger Ryan Bigge wrote about deVilla's impending marriage, and now, Globe Careers has a piece on blogs that net jobs, complete with sidebar on using one to get you a gig.
Torontoist likes the attention being paid to the city's deserving bloggers, but it's hard not to feel that the Globe piece turns blogging, a timely and committment-requiring endeavour, into a skill that can be hastily co-opted to serve the immediate purpose of finding a jobby-job.
