The remarkable people over at BoingBoing have been going all kinds of nuts over a possible Internet levy right here in Canada, and they’re not even Canadian. We won’t even deign to rephrase the argument that Cory Doctorow so eloquently puts forth (read all three BB posts if you have the time). Let us just say we agree, and we recommend signing the petition to make Canadian Heritage listen up! There’s also an online petition here.
Blogger Will Pate has more on the deal, as does Flora.ca. Just as the Digital Millenium Copywright Act made things just a wee bit crappier for our friends down south, this act will be bad news for us. Discuss.
